We are really pleased to announce that Lina Lapelyte has been shortlisted for one of this year’s Arts Foundation Awards in the experimental music category for Counterflows 2013 commission – the amazing Candy Shop. Last week Lina and the Candy Shoppers performed the work at the Queen Elizabeth Halls in London as a part of a showcase for the 4 shortlisted artists. It was also great to see another Counterflows’ performer, Rie Nakajima, performing as one of the shortlist. AC Projects and Lina are working together to promote Candy Shop at future festivals. It is a work we think that resonates across all aspects of culture. On Thursday 23rd of January the annual Arts Foundation Awards will happen at the 20th Century Theatre in London where we’ll find out if Lina has won. The best of luck to all the artists: Lina Lapelyte, Rie Nakajima, Jennifer Walshe & Richard Skelton.
